Artavia has worked extensively over the past 20 years, in a variety of executive leadership roles, to help provide academic and economic support to young people in under-resourced communities in the U.S. and developing countries. She is an ordained minister, holding a B.A. in Theology and a Masters of Divinity from Grace Christian Seminary, and believes that faith-centered social change can prove especially valuable in youth empowerment. She is co-founder of Pocketrev, a spiritual social sharing app, and serves as Regional Executive Director for Multiplying Good. She worked under Michelle Obama in community development and non-profit management at Public Allies Chicago and is a graduate of Loyola University Chicago.

Ben Elconin
Director, Finance, Data & Administration

Ben Elconin has an extensive background in the non-profit sector. His experience ranges from having helped lead a social and recreational program for adults with developmental disabilities in Southern California to spearheading the creation of an employment counselling service for recent immigrants in New York City. Prior to joining Multiplying Good, Ben worked for Pencils of Promise as the operations manager of the office in Laos where the organization has built over 100 preschools and primary schools to date. When not working to make the world a better place, Ben can most likely be found watching Star Wars or, during football season, cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

Hillary Schafer

Prior to joining Multiplying Good in September 2013, Hillary Schafer worked on Wall Street for 12 years. In her capacity as the Head of U.S. Institutional Equity Sales in New York for Citigroup, Hillary was one of the highest ranking women in the equity business. From 1995 to 1999, Hillary was the Executive Director of Economic Security 2000 fighting to save and remodel Social Security. Hillary earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Middlebury College.

Jackeline Muñoz, MSW
Executive Director, Greater Los Angeles

Jackeline Muñoz holds a Post Graduate Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the California State University of Long Beach. Muñoz first joined Multiplying Good as a volunteer, and now serves as the Regional Program Manager for the Greater Los Angeles Region. Muñoz is eager and passionate to continue applying her social work and leadership skills to help others multiply good in the causes they care about most.

Jayme Mitchell
Vice President, Events & Logistics

Jayme lives in Townsend, Delaware and has been with Multiplying Good for eleven years. When she is not busy putting together the most amazing Multiplying Good events in her role as Vice President of Logistics and Events, she is devoted to her family and enjoys spending lots of time with her daughter.

Kelly Woolf, LCSW
Chief Impact Officer

Kelly Woolf, LCSW - (she/her) is a native New Yorker. Over the last 13 years, Kelly has worked with nonprofit organizations, overseeing initiatives in cancer prevention and early detection, behavioral and mental health, and cause-based impact investing. Today, she serves as Chief Impact Officer at Multiplying Good where she leads strategic brand partnerships, marketing and communications initiatives, and oversees its core recognition program, the Jefferson Awards. Concurrently, Kelly worked for ten years as a social worker in NYC’s outpatient mental health space, primarily serving high-risk populations. Now she serves as a clinician within a therapy practice grounded in inclusion and social justice.  Kelly sits on the Board of We Got Us Now, a national advocacy organization built and led by children of incarcerated parents. Kelly graduated with a BA in Psychology from The New School and received her Master of Social Work degree from New York University.

Raesa Waldon
Director, Digital Community

Raesa Waldon has an extensive public relations background which includes film festivals, special events, entertainment and non-profit PR. In her previous roles she worked alongside senior leadership to execute high-impact PR campaigns, including media relations, event coordination, celebrity relations and account administration. Before joining Multiplying Good as the Social Media Community Manager, Raesa attended Fisk University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She went on to pursue higher education at Syracuse University where she received her Master of Science degree in Public Relations.

Sarah Fanslau
Vice President, Youth Programming

Sarah Fanslau has more than 8 years’ experience in the social impact and innovation sector with expertise in positive youth development and health, experience which has proven valuable in her position as Vice President of Youth Programs at Multiplying Good. Previously, Sarah served as VP of Programs at generationOn, the youth division of Points of Light, where, by using data to drive decision making, Sarah grew participation in generationOn’s core programming by more than 50%. Prior to joining generationOn, Sarah worked at Health Leads where she managed programs that leveraged undergraduate students to connect limited income families in pediatric outpatient settings to resources that could help them lead healthier lives. Sarah has a background in social policy research and holds a Master of Science in Social Policy from the London School of Economics.

Shannon Frederick
Executive Director, Indiana

After spending time in California's wine country, Shannon found herself back home again in Indiana. She joined Multiplying Good as a Program Manager in 2015 where she grew youth programming 500%. As the Executive Director in Indiana Shannon is always trying to do better, aim higher and reach farther. She enjoys seeing young Hoosiers change by serving others and having a lasting impact on their communities. She is a graduate of Indiana University and describes herself as committed and willing to evolve and improve rather than jump ship when times get tough. In her free time, she practices massage, is an avid pickleball player, enjoys spending time with her favorite Québécois, Luc, and her Australian Cattle Dog, Bodie.  And did we mention her love for Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters!

Stephanie Madden
Vice President, Finance, Operations & Technology

Stephanie Madden is the Vice President of Technology and Operations at Multiplying Good, who had previously served as the Head of Information Systems and Technology for a variety of companies in a variety of industries. Stephanie, a champion of holistic improvements, focuses on strategies that align technology, operations and finance, in the belief that organizational collaboration and operational excellence go hand in hand. With that as her hallmark, Stephanie makes every effort to become a valuable resource eager to engage all team members who together can develop impactful solutions that keep the mission progressing and innovating at every turn.

Allison Carey
Director, Donor Relations

Allison Carey has worked with multiple nonprofit organizations, focusing mostly on donor relations and special event planning. Recently, she developed and ran a public awareness campaign for Doctors Without Borders that traveled through a dozen American cities educating students about the global refugee crisis. Allison began her career with a foundation at Yale University that awarded scientists who made groundbreaking research discoveries. She is a graduate of Drew University and lives in New York.

Angela Bellmont
Program Manager, Minnesota

Before joining Multiplying Good Angela worked for more than a decade in the non-profit sector, including five years working with youth in child welfare in New York and Minnesota. She has a background in working with organizations to identify, measure, and use outcomes to drive program goals. Angela holds a Master in Arts of Public Policy from the University of Minnesota. She is passionate about empowering youth and thrilled to be living this passion in her role as Program Manager in Minnesota. When not working Angela enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and with her family.

 

Tabitha May-Tolub
Director, Curriculum & Training

Tabitha May-Tolub has more than 20 years of experience in the Youth Leadership Development Field. She brings her expertise in training, cultivating and mentoring youth and the adults who work with them to her role as Director of Training with Multiplying Good. Tabitha also serves as the LEAD training partner and CEO of Roots & Wings, a company which provides training and consultation for youth and the adults who care about them in the areas of leadership, communication and identity development. Prior to the launch of Roots & Wings Tabitha served as Associate Director for Youth LEAD (Leaders Engaging Across Difference) a Massachusetts non-profit that trains and inspires youth leaders to use their values and beliefs to connect with communities across differences to address social issues and enact positive change. Tabitha holds a degree in Psychology from Clark University with a concentration in education. When she is not working to develop the next generation of leaders and changemakers you can find her outside, reading or raising her own two youth leaders near Boston, Massachusetts.

Michele Fidance
Executive Director, Delaware

Michele, a National Director for Multiplying Good, joined the organization in 2007 where was instrumental in starting up and running the Students in Action programs in Central Florida, Chicago, Delaware and the San Francisco Bay Area for 2 years. In 2009 the Students in Action program grew, expanding to its current size of 13 regions. Michele continues to run all the Multiplying Good programming in Central Florida and Delaware. She also plays a major role each year in the coordination of the Jefferson Awards in Washington, D.C.

Jessica Vann
Program Manager, Chicago

Jessica is a multi-careered woman who is an actor, entrepreneur, singer, advocate, lover of all things music, and podcast host from Lansing, MI. She has called Chi City home for 12 years! Jessica received a B.S. in Theatre and Interpretation: Acting from Central Michigan University and an M.A in Training and Development from Roosevelt University. She has spent 15 years working in education and youth development through arts administration, service-learning, afterschool programming, and much more. Her passion lies in supporting youth and adults in the process of self-discovery, coaching them to see their potential by doing the things they love, and that brings them joy. Jessica is always striving to enhance her skills and passions, all while practicing self-care and being there for others! When she is not wearing her many hats, she is at the gym, reading a book, enjoying a good Chicago meal; most likely a burrito, watching a movie or at the theatre. Oh, and hanging out with Mayfield, her cat.

 

Amanda Johnson
Vice President, National Development

Amanda, a Hoosier through and through, has lived in Indiana her entire life. Amanda is passionate about fomenting relationships between the corporate culture and local communities, a passion that drives her in her role as Vice President, National Development. She doesn’t have free time, but if she did she would love to cook, garden and preserve more food for those long, cold winters in Indiana. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and now lives in the greater Indianapolis area with her husband and two children.

Brady Tanner
Senior Director, Recognition Programs

Brady is the VP, Partnership Development.  He began his career over two decades ago as a job coach for an organization serving people with developmental disabilities.  He brings diverse experience to Multiplying Good and is celebrating his 11th year with our team. Brady lives in Memphis, Tennessee. 

Emily Schultz
Program Manager, South Carolina

Emily Schultz is a graduate of Monmouth University in Long Branch, New Jersey. After completing her degree in History and obtaining her secondary teaching certificate, Emily moved to South Carolina where she taught History and Effective Leadership at Fort Dorchester High School. She also served as a Students In Action advise during her time there. After 9 years of teaching, Emily decided to combine her passions of promoting volunteerism and working with young people by joining Multiplying Good. In her free time, Emily enjoys photography, travel, baking, gardening and spending time with her husband and their fat cat, Jack.

Heather Love
Vice President, Community Building

Heather Love has spent more than 15 years in the international development and nonprofit sectors. She holds a business degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama from 2005 to 2008. After Peace Corps, Heather spent several years working for City Year and United Way before joining Multiplying Good in late 2013 to serve as the organization’s Executive Director in South Carolina. In October 2021 Heather moved into the role of Vice President, Community Building at Multiplying Good to help each of our staff teams nationwide be successful in building awareness of our mission, raise the resources necessary to support our work, and deliver impact through our programs.

Heather has lived in the Upstate, Midlands, and Grand Strand of South Carolina but now calls the Lowcountry home where she resides with her husband and two sons. She is a graduate of Leadership South Carolina, the Riley Institute’s Diversity Leaders Initiative, and was named by Greenville Business Magazine as one of Greenville’s Best and Brightest 35 and Under in 2015.

Janai Smith
Senior Manager, Youth Programs

Janai Smith is a Human Rights Advocate with over 10 years of experience. Before joining Multiplying Good, she served as the Youth Outreach Manager for ECPAT-USA where she directed the Youth Against Child Trafficking program and focused on educating, empowering, and mobilizing young people around the issue of child sexual exploitation. Previously, she worked with non-profits such as Global Kids, South Asian Youth Action, and the Advocacy Lab, teaching youth about various human rights issues and how they can effect social change. Janai received her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Vermont, her M.S. in Global Affairs from New York University, and is an alumna of AmeriCorps.

Jodi Klebick
Executive Director, Pittsburgh

A Broadcast/Cable Communications graduate from Penn State University and former President of Klebick & Company, Jodi has served as President of the Board of the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project (PUMP), of Women In Film & Media Pittsburgh, and as a Co-founder and Advisory Board member of the international Silk Screen Asian Festival. She is a graduate of Leadership Development Initiative and Leadership on Board, winner of the National Association of Women Business Owners’ “Make the Connection” community service award, and a 2009 Nominee for Nonprofit Marketer of the Year from the American Marketing Association. She is thrilled to be a person of influence for young leaders as a Regional Executive Director of Multiplying Good, and enjoys endless of hours of ‘playing fetch’ with her happy-go-lucky Jackweenie dog named Henri.

Karen Waataja
Vice President, Community Development

Karen has 8 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on development through grant writing and grants management. She also has a background in strategic planning and leadership from her prior experience with an innovative statewide organization in South Carolina. Karen is passionate about positively impacting individuals and building communities, through persuasive story-telling, grant writing, and partnership building. Born and raised in Kentucky, Karen now lives in South Carolina. A graduate of Wake Forest University, she enjoys cheering on her favorite college sports teams—the Kentucky Wildcats, Clemson Tigers, and Wake Forest Demon Deacons—and spending time with her husband and two grown children.

Nikki Mowbray
Program Manager, Delaware

After earning her BA from Duke University and Master of Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill, Nikki started her career in drug and alcohol counseling before transitioning into prevention work with the YMCA of Delaware where she managed youth programs to prevent bullying, drug and alcohol use, and juvenile delinquency. Nikki was also the Delaware statewide coordinator for Stewards of Children, which teaches adults how to prevent child sexual abuse. In addition to serving as Multiplying Good’s program manager in Delaware, Nikki is an active volunteer of Delaware 4-H, where she has served as secretary and president of the Delaware 4-H Foundation, and also volunteers with the Delaware Youth Leadership Network as an adult mentor. In her spare time, Nikki is an avid reader, gardener, certified health coach, and is a group fitness instructor.

Chloe Tate
Manager, Programs

Once described as “relentlessly cheerful,” Chloe is a lover of all things colorful and practically every fruit known to man. She lives in Alpharetta, Georgia and divides her time between working with Multiplying Good, working as a Marketing Maven for Lucky Break Consulting, and event planning for business conferences. She’s also working on the launch of her skincare line while finishing her degree in Leadership & Organizational Studies. She was involved in Spring Hill High Schoool's chapter of Students in Action while living in South Carolina and spent her senior year working as a Program and Research Intern with Multiplying Good. When she is not working, you can find Chloe crafting away in her room or dancing around the house to Dave Matthews Band.

Rachel Williams
Program Manager, Indiana

Rachel graduated with a BA in Chemistry from Butler University but stepped away from attending medical school after discovering her passion for working with youth. During her undergraduate career, Rachel traveled on seven service trips where she worked on rebuilding homes in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and worked with youth at an orphanage in Mandeville, Jamaica. After graduating, Rachel completed an AmeriCorps term with the Intercollegiate YMCA, serving as the Site Director for an after-school program and summer program in low-income housing neighborhoods. Before accepting her position with Multiplying Good, she worked as the Senior Youth Development Professional for the Jonathan Jennings Boys and Girls Club in Indianapolis. She is also currently getting her Master’s in School Counseling at Butler University. If she’s not working or volunteering, you can find Rachel playing soccer and attending Butler basketball games!

Ashlee Tolbert
Manager, Programs and Development, South Carolina

Ashlee attended the University of South Carolina - Upstate where she received her bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies/History and obtained her Master's degree in Management from Southern Wesleyan University. Her career has consisted of being a class teacher and Career Development Facilitator, Program Coordinator with the non-profit organization Communities In Schools of Greenville, SC, and worked in Community Development and Special Events with the City of Greenville and City of Fountain Inn. Ashlee has over 15 years of experience working in education and community engagement and is passionate about education, outreach, and service for all.

Stephanie Lloyd
Program Manager, SF Bay Area

Stephanie J. Lloyd, MA brings more than a decade of experience in the non-profit, academic, and social impact sectors where she has both implemented and evaluated numerous volunteer and youth development programs. She has dedicated her career to advancing social justice through research, evaluation, and service by supporting programs and organizations that uplift under-resourced communities and address economic and social challenges. Her ambition and expertise lie in working with organizations to design effective programs and evaluation tools and use data to inform strategy and recommendations that positively impact individuals and communities. Stephanie holds a Master of Arts in Applied Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Boston. As a City Year AmeriCorps Alum and lifelong volunteer, she believes in the power of social good to change our world and is committed to inspiring youth to enact positive social change through service. Stephanie is also passionate about photovoice (a participatory research method that puts cameras in the hands of individuals whose knowledge, expertise, and experience bring value to community assessments, research, and evaluation for policy and practice improvement) and serves as a trainer and project consultant for PhotovoiceWorldwide LLC. Outside of working and volunteering, Stephanie enjoys photography, travel, and sports.

Ariel Infante
Associate, Data & Technology

Ariel Infante is a Technology & Data Team Member who had previously helped start Yondster, a professional social network that helped youths start their career. Before joining Multiplying Good, Ariel was an Operations Team Lead at Breather, helping manage over 150 on-demand office locations around New York City. With a B.A. in Computer Systems and Operations experience. Ariel is taking the lead in automation and integration projects and tackling technology issues to keep Multiplying Good's mission of service running smoothly. 

Amy Reiland
Director, Marketing

Amy Reiland has spent more than fifteen years in Marketing and Communications creating change for namesake brands in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Marketing from San Francisco State University, Amy has been able to build on her Marketing foundation in various roles. Ranging from advertising, storytelling, and email marketing to brand development and creation, her ongoing commitment is to create and produce high-quality and cutting-edge content that speaks to the targeted demographic. Amy also has a strong passion for volunteering within her local community and through the years she has been fortunate to work with various organizations including Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles and Inland Pacific Ballet.

Courtney Stein
Program Manager, Pittsburgh

Courtney joins Multiplying Good with over 10 years of experience in youth & teen programming. Upon graduating from Slippery Rock University with a degree in Secondary Education, Courtney began her career traveling with Carnival Cruise Line, creating interactive and inclusive activities for the fleet and engaging with youth across countries and cultures. She has since worked in the nonprofit sector with the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, where she continued her professional passion for servant leadership, growing programs, and building relationships with youth, families, and the community. As the Program Manager for Students In Action in Pittsburgh, Courtney is thrilled to bring her experience and passions to the city she calls home, and can always be found exploring new places and trying new things!

Joaquin Alvarado
Program Manager, Los Angeles

Dr. Joaquin Alvarado was raised in South Los Angeles and developed his passion in education at a very young age. He is currently an Adjunct Faculty at East Los Angeles College (ELAC). He holds a Doctorate in Education and a Masters of Science in Teaching from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining ELAC, Dr. Alvarado worked in the high school setting for almost ten years, first as a teacher and then as an administrator. Dr. Alvarado is a proud member of his community and continues to serve students and families of South Los Angeles. He believes that every student can learn, every student can succeed and every student has the potential to change the world.

Jill L. McHugh, LISW-CP
Executive Director, South Carolina

Jill L. McHugh is Multiplying Good’s Executive Director in South Carolina and is certified as a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice (LISW-CP). Jill has spent more than 15 years in the nonprofit sector, most recently at Palmetto Place for Children and Youth in Columbia where she was the Executive Director from 2017 to 2021. She received her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina where she also taught undergraduate and graduate courses for the College of Social Work for many years. She currently serves on multiple boards and task forces throughout SC, allowing her to maintain her passion for investing in the community through a focus on youth. She and her husband Ron live in the Midlands of SC and have a 12-year-old Westie named Maggie.

Brittany Henderson
Manager, People & Culture

Brittany Henderson (she/her) is a SHRM-CP certified human resources professional with expertise in both operational and strategic HR business practices, including talent acquisition, employee training, performance management, employee relations, benefits, and payroll. Brittany has a passion for diversity, equity, justice, and inclusion with a constant commitment to helping others achieve their goals. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia State University and has worked in the HR field for 7 years with proven success in creating cultures of collaboration and implementing change to achieve workplace excellence. Born and raised right outside of Washington, DC, Brittany is a wife and mother of two.

Jessie’s commitment to service began as a high school teacher working with language learners in Chaska, Minnesota. The bulk of her career in teaching, leadership, and program coordination has been in educational settings. A passionate advocate for families and communities, she is on the Board of Directors for Bethel House, an ecumenical project helping families facing homelessness. An avid reader, you’ll often find her at the library or on the back porch with a pile of books. Jessie lives in Wisconsin with her husband, two teenage sons, and two rescue dogs.

Andrew Schrynemakers
Lead Project Manager, Media Content Management Strategy

As Lead Project Manager for the Media Content Management Strategy at Multiplying Good, Andrew performs three essential functions: planning, communication, and quality control.

Andrew owns and operates Andrew Schrynemakers Consulting LLC, with clients in the public, non-profit, and business sectors. His focus is on providing thought partnership and strategic support for organizations undergoing significant change and undertaking new ventures. Some of his notable clients have been Covenant House International, New York Life Foundation, and TWU Local 100. He is skilled in research, analysis, storytelling, and communication, and has a commitment to economic, environmental, and social justice.

Brandon Parkes
Consultant, Development

Brandon Parkes recently served as a Senior Consultant for Bridge Philanthropic Consulting, LLC, the nations largest African-American fundraising firm in which he supported a wide variety of nonprofit clients including the Apollo Theater, National Collation of Black Civic Participation, and Global Community Charter School. Prior, he was the Nonprofit Engagement Manager at CariClub, an AI tech company that connects young professionals to leadership roles on nonprofit boards.

Through this role, he supported over 350 organizations such as Teach for America, UNICEF, Make a Wish, and Museum of Modern Arts in capacity-building initiatives. Previously, he worked in development for an international humanitarian nonprofit, Right To Play, helping to secure over a million dollars in funding annually. He has formerly worked in a corporate philanthropic capacity for companies such as Morgan Stanley and Toyota.

Through these professional titles, he gained experience supporting effective philanthropic strategy that increases social impact, external/internal engagement and nonprofit capacity building. He was humbled to be named one of CauseArtists’s “20 Inspiring African Americans Impacting the World Through Social Impact & Social Innovation,” named one of Startup Boost’s NYC 33 under 33, and has been featured in several publications such as Nonprofit Technology News, Blacks in Technology, Blavity and WhyWeGive. It’s Brandon’s passion to empower any constituent looking to make a positive social impact.

Athena Lao works at the Institute of International Education (IIE) as a Regional Program Officer for Fulbright South and Central Asia. She has worked with a variety of education initiatives, companies, and organizations worldwide, and traveled to more than 60 countries and all 7 continents.

In 2013, Athena co-founded the BEST Foundation, a civic education nonprofit which engages more than 1,000 high school students across Bulgaria each year. She holds an A.B. from Harvard College and an M.S.Ed. in International Educational Development from the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a proud alumna of the Fulbright Program (English Teaching Assistantship to Bulgaria), Coca Cola Scholar, and Gates Millennium Scholar.

Coordinator, Media Content

Killian serves as the Media Content Coordinator for Multiplying Good- managing and creating a comprehensive archive of digital assets for the team.

While working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography and Related Media at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Killian worked for the Lower East Side Girls Club in order to combine their passion for digital media and social service. During this time, they mentored their students in photography and digital media literacy so that these students in disadvantaged school districts could receive digital media education not otherwise possible, while also providing support & support for their families where possible. Additionally, they handled the Girls Club's events photography, file organization and management, and digital archiving.
