In the wake of COVID-19 most of us have been forced into our homes. This isolation and disconnection from our families and friends can make us feel powerless. We are not!

J.C. Hall, LMSW is an artist and social worker who runs the Hip-Hop Therapy Studio program at Mott Haven Community High School, a “second-chance” transfer school in the South Bronx, which is both the birthplace of Hip-Hop culture and the poorest congressional district in the country.

At Clearview Regional High School the Students In Action team created opportunities to reach their community through passion and empathy. They engaged them in service through impactful and exciting projects.

We sat down with Chloe Tate to learn a little more about her, her work, and why she chooses service. Chloe started as a participant in Students In Action when she was a student at Spring Hill High School in Chapin, SC. She then worked as an intern with Multiplying Good before joining the staff.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we’re showing love to a few of our past Jefferson Award recipients whose service initiatives should be added to Cupid’s quiver.
