April 16-22 is National Volunteer Week! Organized by the Points of Light Foundation, it is “an opportunity to recognize the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to tackle society’s greatest challenges, build stronger communities and be a force that transforms the world.”
In 1999, Delfarib Fanaie and her husband decided to adopt a child from their home country of Iran. They witnessed the needs of children first-hand as they traveled to various orphan care centers in Tehran.
