October 10th is World Mental Health Day, an internationally recognized day set aside for “global mental health education, awareness, and advocacy against social stigma.”
National Women’s Health and Fitness Day was established in 2002 to encourage health awareness and fitness for all women. Each year, this day falls on the last Wednesday of September and has been recognized as the largest all-ages women’s health event.

Emily Torchiana developed PTSD, depression, and social anxiety from being severely cyberbullied on Facebook in high school. As a result, she attempted suicide at the age of 16 and again two years later at the age of 18.
