On June 20-23, student leaders from across the country gathered at Howard University in Washington, DC to celebrate, connect, and motivate their peers through leadership workshops and inspiring speakers.

The event was a tremendous success with over 120 youth from our Students In Action program joining 70 advisors, speakers, judges, volunteers, and Multiplying Good staff. Students representing 20 teams connected with their peers while working on eight diverse service projects throughout the DC area, impacting hundreds of community members. These inspirational young people immersed themselves in the rich history, culture, and traditions of the HBCU community. They participated in 13 leadership workshops on campus, even staying in dorms for a memorable ‘college’ experience!

Students gave presentations on their service's impact on local communities and shared the transformational growth they experienced through Students In Action for a panel of esteemed judges. The final banquet was a celebration of service and leadership culminating in the presentation of the Jefferson Awards to student teams for excellence in service. The room was electric, and we still hear from attendees sharing their excitement and joy from the experience! Special thanks go to our sponsors, Purdue and NextEra Energy, as well as partners including Howard University, VING, Emerson Collective, Project I Am, and Athletes for Hope.

The 2023 Youth Summit was so much more than a conference – it was a critical part of our movement to change lives and the world through service to others.
