Multiplying Good's Delaware Salute to Service is Delaware's premiere awards ceremony recognizing unsung heroes across the state. This year Delaware celebrated the 12th Annual Delaware Salute to Service on May 8th at Riverfront Events on the Wilmington Riverfront. This year’s event was co-chaired by The Honorable Chris Coons, Governor John Carney & Delaware First Lady Tracey Quillen Carney and Tatiana Copeland.

Both adults and youth were honored across multiple categories for their awe-inspiring service. Dawn Sheehan, co-founder of Hope on Deck, was recognized for her work with those struggling with addiction. Mountaire Farms of Delaware was honored in the “outstanding service by a company or non-profit in the state of Delaware ” category for their 30 years of service which includes their “Feeding for Thousands” events, their support of local non-profits, and the scholarships they provide to students interested in agriculture, culinary arts, and food service. The youth recipients were the students from the Caesar Rodney High School Students In Action team for their many hours of service work throughout the school year, including their Charlton Student Day project, in which they planned and conducted an entire day of activities for 36 special needs classmates at Christmas.

It was an inspiring and uplifting evening and thanks to the many sponsors and donors of the event, Multiplying Good Delaware raised over $22,000 in support of the Delaware Students In Action program.
