Dan founded the Idaho Veterans Garden, building it from the ground up with generous donations from the community. The garden is not only a place to honor fallen heroes but also serves as a relaxed and comfortable environment that provides veterans with resources.
Jefferson Award winners James Campbell, Jr. and Mike Thompson co-founded the Wisconsin chapter of Never Forgotten Honor Flight (NFHF), an organization that flies veterans to Washington D.C. to see memorials dedicated to their service. Since its inception, the NFHF has enabled thousands of soldiers to pay their respects to their fellow comrades.
